چکیده
Composites were manufactured from glass fiber, bagasse fly ash, and epoxy matrix examined their mechanical physical properties. The percentages of fine designed at 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30% with fiber conducted density, flexural strength, hardness, absorption water, swelling properties thickness. prepared by manual layering. ASTM standards followed in preparing the samples. According to results, ash percentage variation was significant composite but had no linear effects on its hardness strength. A 20% highest strength 27.65 MPa 52.86 HRA, respectively, which are significantly (>0.002) higher than composites along density. This study measured water samples immersed distilled for 192 h. As content increases, these values linearly increased until saturation occurs.

Moisture Diffusion Properties of Fabric Composite (Glass Fiber/Epoxy Resin)
In this study, the effect of hygrothermal conditioning on the moisture diffusion properties of the fabric composite (glass fiber/epoxy resin) was investigated. The water uptake of the specimens conditioned in humid environment at different relative humidities (0, 60 and 96 % r.h) at constant temperature (60°C) was evaluated by weight gain measurements. The moisture diffusion properties of the f...

Experiments were carried out to study the effects of impingement angle and particle velocity on the solid particle erosion behavior of Bagasse Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites (BFRPCs). The erosive wear is evaluated at different impingement angles from 30° to 90° at four different velocities of 48, 70, 82 and 109 m/s. The erodent used is silica sand with the size range 150 – 250 m of irregul...
متن کاملDamage Assessment in Glass Fiber-Epoxy Matrix Composite under High Velocity Impact of Ice
This study investigated the influence of nanoclay on the impact damage resistance of glass fiber-epoxy composites under high velocity ice impact loading. Addition of 0.5 wt. % nanoclay into epoxy was shown to improve damage resistance compared to composite plates having no nanoclay platelet. The glass fiber-epoxy composites containing nanoclay brought about substantial improvement in ice impact...
متن کاملMulti-objective Optimization of Hybrid Carbon/Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composite Automotive Drive Shaft
In design and fabricate drive shafts with high value of fundamental natural frequency that represented high value of critical speed; using composite materials instead of typical metallic materials could provide longer length shafts with lighter weight. In this paper, multi-objective optimization (MOP) of a composite drive shaft is performed considering three conflicting objectives: fundamental ...
متن کاملCreep Behavior of Basalt and Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites
The creep behavior of basalt fiber reinforced epoxy (BFRE) and glass fiber reinforced epoxy (GFRE) composites was studied through tensile testing at high temperature. To study the effect of reinforcing epoxy, the micro glass powder (MGP) was added at various volume percentage into the epoxy resin in BFRE composites. The initial strain for all the specimens were evaluated and compared with each ...
